Captain Kip Edwards

Captain Kip Edwards has been fishing professionally since 1986 – that’s a ton experience fishing Florida’s east coast and the entire eastern seaboard of the U.S.  Presently, Capt. Kip is running the Fighting Lady, docked at Sailfish Marina on Singer Island.  The Fighting Lady is moored there, and is available for charter, year-round.

History

Captain Kip Edwards started fishing as a young boy with his Grandfather on the Potomac River for bass and catfish. The Edwards family started vacationing first, on the N.J. coast, and then, Ocean City, MD. where Captain Kip started surf fishing and going out on the head boats with his father. It was around this time he got addicted to saltwater fishing, and the addiction has never faded.

After returning from Vietnam, serving with the USMC, Capt. Kip finished college and moved to the Annapolis, MD, located on the Chesapeake Bay. His first boat was a 20' Shamrock and his saltwater fishing experiences began to amass. He fished up and down the Chesapeake, and Delaware Bays, and fished offshore in the waters off Ocean City, MD.  Later, he padded his log book and experiences with several years of fishing Islamorada, in the Florida Keys.  The Keys is also where Kip earned and received his Captain’s license while running ever larger boats.
