Starting in late October and into early March, sailfish migrate up and down a narrow stretch of water off our coast dubbed, "Sailfish Alley."  Although your best chance is during the winter months sailfish are caught year round.  Because sailfish are so prevalent, Palm Beach is home to many sailfish tournaments in January and February – the height of the sailfish season.

The cooling of the waters in the Fall and Winter trigger a massive migration of bait fish and the fish that prey upon them.  The only down side to sailfishing, is the fish like it cold and windy, and some of the best action will be found on days that are not for the faint of heart.  During the height of the sailfishing season, its commonplace to catch multiple sailfish on the same day, and “double-digit-days” (ten or more) are not uncommon.
